The Art’s Cafe is an expansion project of the Springville Arts Center that took a collapsed Main Street building and transformed it into a performance space, two residences designed for artists, an arts workshop, and a public green roof centered around a community-owned bakery-cafe.

2020 took an unexpected turn for everyone. Given the current state of the world, like many, we had to put some projects on hold and shift our focus to finding new ways to approach our mission. We are happy to report that plans are in the works for a multi-venue installation in July. We’ve been holding artists meetings via zoom and making preparations that we’ll be ready to announce very soon. Here are some of the artists who will be presenting their amazing work with us! Stay tuned for more information!

We’ve had several  Buffalo Obscura meetings recently with contributing artists for our upcoming show, Big Tent Revival: Photography Pop Up, scheduled for Friday July 26th in a soon to be announced obscure location near you. In addition to photography, we’ll have a series of short features involving large scale projections, live drawing, music and more. Stay tuned.

pressuredropAs always, we’ll be serving beer from a local brewery at our event.  Join us for “Buffalo’s Back Yard: Photography Pop Up Show” this Friday from 6-10pm. This time it’s “Citra Screamer” from Pressure Drop Brewing Company! Pressure Drop is the craft brewery headquartered at the newly-restored Barrel Factory, a 115-year-old historic factory in Buffalo’s legendary Old First Ward! Check out the event page and come join us!
